DJI Controller 2 Binding Issues with Avata

Hi all.
I managed to get meslelf a Dji controller 2, there’s just a couple of snags I could do with sorting out regarding it ,if someone would be so kind as to give us some insight  and put an end to my mental torture :pensive:.

It’s being used with the Avata, all f/w up to date on all gear.

OK, first thing. The controller doesn’t always link with the Avata on restart. I’ll power down, change the battery, reboot and wait for a connection. The drone fully powers up but doesn’t make any connection with the controller. I’ll power down the Avata, reboot and it then ‘may’ connect. There was a time this morn I had to do it three times🤔. Using the mot cont there are no issues.

Second small irratating issue is the message once switch into manual mode, ’ Remote controller stick error’.
I had this problem a couple of months back with the mates controller, I found a solution on YT, but can’t find the bloody vid now, and before you ask, I didn’t save it  doh!

Any info would be muchly appreciated :+1::grin:

When binding there is a correct order in which to bind.

Once all devices, Avata, goggles, and remote have been updated, you first bind the goggles to the drone. Then you put the drone and controller into bind mode. I believe this is to do with the controller communicating with the drone via the goggles.

Cheers nidge👍. All gear is bound to the one account. The controller is paired with the Avata and done in the correct order👍
The issue is, I can take off, fly a full batt, power off and put new batt in, reboot and the controller not connect again to the drone. I can then power off the drone then reboot and it will. It’s just inconsistent and I don’t know why🤔.

Thanks for the edit👍

Not solved. Still randomly connecting.

Here’s my routine, the one that seems to work most.

  1. Turn controller on.
  2. Turn drone on
  3. Goggles

Mostly this method works but not 100%.

The thing which brasses me right off is when I’ve changed 3 batteries then the 4th, change in EXACTLY the same way, when I boot the drone up the controller doesn’t connect:rage:. It really brasses me off when I’m out in - 1 conditions :rage::rage:.
The way I get them to connect is try turning the drone on several times and hope it connects. Also this can happen on any battery change or just turning the Avata off for any reason.
Any help anyone?
