Took my new DJI Flip out for her first flight yesterday. Coming from the DJI Mini 2 this is a very good little drone. My choice was between this one or the mini 4 pro and I must say I’m not disappointed. The ease of use with the quick set up and quick shots was the main selling point. These so called bad reviews and criticism of this drone are just people trying to justify being happy with thier current drones and not having to purchase this drone. I honestly do not know why all these comparisons with the Mini drones. This drone stand on its own with its unique features whichbis more than enough for my needs. I also dont get why this drone is being labelled a beginner drone. I do believe its an all-rounder for both beginner and or pro’s. It has its place and if its unique features is what you need out of , get it. You will not be disappointed.
I have literally just bought a Mini4Pro, but it was between the Flip and the Mini4Pro.
It certainly seems like a really capable drone and I’m still keen to try one out at some point.
It is quite ugly though…
(That’s as much “hate” as you’re going to get from me )
I actually like the look. Something aboutnit that I just like a lot.
I agree. There seems to be a lot of criticism against the Flip so I was a bit nervous finding all these comments after purchasing, but its decent and I’m not disappointed either - it’s a great drone. I do find it a little noisy though at very high altitudes so not sure how this compares to some of the others?
I was very close to getting this to replace my mini 2 but all the reviews put me off! How is the camera quality?
I honestly do not understand the fuss about the noise. From a the reviews I was expecting tbis drone to be very noisy, but its not as bad. Sure the other mini drones may be quieter, but for me the noise from this drone is really not that bad.
Its the same camera as on the Mini 4 Pro only difference is it does not shoot true vertical. But it is a major upgrade from the Mini 2
I’m looking for a sub-249g drone to fly in areas where the Air 3S can’t, and do find myself looking at the Flip.
Put off the Neo by the incessant noise it makes and can’t really justify splashing out on a Mini 4 Pro alongside my existing drone.
I had a Mini 2 previously so good to hear it’s a decent step up from there.
Some noise can be a good thing, helps in keeping track of drone, when so easy to lose it briefly in harsh, low sunlight. Just got mini 4 pro and once more than a few feet from me I can’t hear it at all.
To be fair, and in the consideration that aircraft are among the most exquisitely beautiful of man’s creations, I can’t think of any drone that I would not call pig ugly. They are function over form, and looks are not the point, but the general recieved wisdom seems to be either ‘toad’ or ‘alien spider’. The Inspire is frankly terrifying!
