DJI Fly and Samsung a23

Hi all,
Im a total newbie. So new I haven’t even got a drone yet!

I’ve got my eye on a DJI mini4k but i cannot for the life of me find a definitive answer to the age old question:

“Will the Fly app work with my Samsung?”

I’ve been searching for hours, and this forum was recommended as maybe being able to help.

I have installed the app on my A235G and it opens but as i dont have a UAV to connect I can’t fully test it.

Does anyone have experience with this phone who can advise before I buy the Mini?

Generally if the app installs and opens then you should be good to go

Are you a Prime customer? The Mini 4K Fly More Combo is currently on offer today (only!) for £319 :scream:

And being Amazon, you can always return it if your device is struggling.

Quick tip if it does struggle, disable local video caching in the DJI Fly app, that often frees up a good level of resource :+1:t2:

I’ve used a few Samsung phones and they’ve all worked fine with the RCN1.

Thanks for your help everyone, I’ve placed the order so hopefully I’ll find out on Friday if it works…

If not, I’m sure i can return or resell as mentioned above!

Try this site, if your phone is listed you should be good to use the fly app.

At least for now, but as it gets more bloated, older devices do slip off the list

Hi all, thanks for your helpful responses. I took the Mini4K out this morning for its first flight and im pleased to say the DJI app worked perfectly on my Samsung A23 5G. Not a glitch in sight.

I’ve just installed the Fly app on a low spec 2017 Wileyfox Swift 2x, and it works fine.
Can’t imagine it not working on a S a23, released in March '22.
