Don’t all rush to buy one :joy::joy:

Russian voice:
"Hey vot is da ting like from Santa Claus comink through da tank hatch ? " :boom:
:fire: :fire: :fire:

Isn’t this illegal in the UK?

Illegal ? Illegal ? Well yes, but only for mere mortals.

Big companies can bribe . . . er, sorry, lobby for any changes in the law that will suit their business interests.

Pretty difficult for Chinese tech companies to lobby uk parliament following issues with Huawei and balloons travelling across the world etc………

Mind you that may not stop some of our MP’s from approaching the Chinese :joy::joy:

Hey @bannerman100,

I respectfully see your point of view. Would you be open to elaborating some more please?

For clarity this is a curiosity request and I would love to hear other opinions on Flycart from anyone.

Safe Flying

Hi Dak,
In the UK, it is illegal for drone and model aricraft operators to drop things from their flyer. (I am not sure if this applies on private land.)

But obviously there are commercial interests who want to use drones to make deliveries, so probably there are changes and exceptions being made to the law.

(My previous (intended to be) humorous comment related to Ukranian drones dropping grenades into Russian tanks.)

Hi Bannerman

Thanks for the reply.

I think my curiosity aligns with long term commercial interest and the perception of other delivery type systems around the world :joy:

Private land is the big one to concentrate on I think

I just sometimes like to ask the why not questions and think about the feasibility.

Air Navigation Order 2016 article 89

I read it to mean:

No dropping* anything if it endangers a person or property. At all.

If dropping something is not going to endanger a person or property, you will still need permission from the CAA.

Seems there is no distinction made between public/private land

*dropping includes projecting and lowering

That answers my next question about the item being winched down, ta.

 I wonder about “beer delivery” … where it just hangs beneath, at the same distance, from “despatch” to “delivery”
