So I’ve purchased a dji fpv bundle. I’m a glasses wearers, I’m under the impression I can get prescription lens to replace those in the goggles…I wear bio focal glasses for distance and driving and reading glasses for tv etc. which lenses do I get for the goggles distance or reading?
These are what quite a few people i know have bought Dji lens
I believe these are for distance with most options being prefixed with a minus.
You can get some + lens’s but they mostly seem to be custom, quite expensive or out of stock. These have come up a few times Tador – RHO-Lens
Yes I was looking at Tador Rho this evening. That site said distance lens for prescription wearers. I was curious to know if I’m to read the info from the screen can I get bi focal lens custom made or would I just need distance?
My bi focal are for driving and able to read.
Could I supply an old pair and get the lens cut down to fit the frames from my opticians…if they will of course
Personally I only found out that I needed reading glasses when I started flying fpv.
My sky zone goggles made me feel like only one eye was in focus so to fix this I bought some cheap reading glasses for a £1 and used the dremmel to shape them to fit.
They work brilliantly - might be worth a try
I’m a recent adopter of the DJI V2 goggles, and I also wear vari-focals primarily for reading and close up work but they do have a tweak for distance use.
When I use the V2 goggles I find I have a slightly soft image but perfectly usable. However I can wear my glasses under the goggles quite comfortably and I by doing this I have a very sharp image.
I wear glasses for distance (slight prescription) but also have a useless left eye (birth defect)
I found the OSD very blurry but a -2 focus fixer was just the job, now all in crisp focus
I wear varifocals for general use but I have a pair of single prescription glasses for computer work. I have Skyzone Cobra X box goggles that allow me to wear my specs underneath and my computer specs are the ones that work best.
If you think about it, you’re only focusing on a fixed distance in your goggles, so the varifocal is unnecessary.
I’m glad to see that being a glasses wearer lots of others have had to find ways to rectify the situation we all have with our eyesight.thanks everyone.
