I messaged Aldryn. You can’t get them off once they are on. They snap on and fit very firmly. (Apparently)
I’m in 2 minds about these. Most of the damaged drones you see have lost a front arm. I’m not convinced that this would help in a crash.
I’m more concerned that the forces produced on the front arm in the event of a forward crash would then be transferred to the rear arm associated with the brace. This in my engineering brain (yep there is one in there somewhere ) says to me the the rear arm would then be subject to lateral forces. Thus snapping the rear arm off as well.
Got the FPV controller working with Velocidrone, seems to be a bit more realistic gravity wise and much more tweakable than the DJI simulator. Manual mode seems surprisingly similar to what I remember when flying R/C aircraft all these years ago… Still much crashing of course, again very similar to flying R/C aircraft
Yes I spotted that you could connect the DJI controller to the sim. I’ve been using velocidrone and and lift off.
I’m undecided which I like best.
Woop Woop flymore kit on the way.
I think 6 will be enough. Takes it to about an hour.
Which when you are flying is about 5 minutes in “real” time
Man that’s gunna take you about 10 years to charge all them batteries
Lol
Not to bad actually. The first charge is ages.
Lol
3d printer is going for it.
Printing some battery terminal covers, (need to do 2 more now)
Google’s lens protector
Cable clips for the TBS Fusion.
Goggles antenna box.
All in TPU.
@milkmanchris
Let me know if you want any pal and I’ll do you some for the weekend.
WOW
£2.21 to print the lot.
Barely in control flying next to a busy road and over people and cars. Just hope he wrecks this one too before he wrecks some poor bystander.
Completely agree what a fool.
The forces will be shared between the fore and aft arms in proportion to their relative stiffness, assuming the bracer is a rigid link.
Yeah, I see that but still not convinced.
Also how will they alter wind resistance?
I think it’s heavy enough.
I think they’re needs to more info on them.
There green if that helps?
Now then you might have a massive point there.
I do tend to target fixate on things that are that colour.
I just wish I knew what colour it was “really”
DroneXfactor has not learnt that an error can involve huge impact forces as seen by four broken arms on his 1st FPV drone. Yet he still flies over walkers (8 in 5 seconds) and also over a group (6+) at speed. Just a matter of time before someone gets injured.
Now now, he is, after all, an official DJI Drone Youtube Influencer, why else would he have two drones and no clue???. Other than Bardwell and Nurk I think the seasoned FPV pilot reviewers only got one drone. I know Bruce (RCmodelreviews) and Thomas (BMSWEB) only got one drone and only three days before the official release.
More crashes I see the more I’m determined not to buy so keep bringing these crashes
LOL those crash photos horrified me so much that I bought an iFlight Titan XL5. Imma learn FPV manual in the simulator and then in real life on that.
Seeing the best FPV Pilots fuffing up makes my mind up as I had my Mavic 1 HR before smashing it my mini 30 mins before attempting a river shot and dam thing went flying into the trees and have bought 2 cheap Amazon’s drones in the past and lost both in the space of 1½ minutes to never see again and still friends won’t let me forget it to this day
Like I’ve said a 100 times I’m on the simulator and do see it’s slowly helping me.
tbh I’m actually having more fun with betaflight and opentx companion and BLHeli suite then actual to fly one, I love to build one that would be great. I’ve not been near computers or laptops for many years I do everything through my phone and only used a laptop if really needed to print or something the phone could not do. Now I’m using a new 4k laptop which is fast and handles everything its fun using the brain cells again.
Ok, The Bastard has been on his maiden voyage, all painless and all back in one piece.
Who wants to explain coordinated turns in simple to understand terms ;o)
