DJI FPV Race/Freestyle quad

I just love new gadgets. Don’t have an fpv set up and this looks like a good halfway house

I don’t think it’s too bad a price, considering the goggles and air unit might set you back £700 to £800. And to build an fpv quad ain’t cheap.

Is yours on order Karl?

 I really want the goggles. But I need to save up for a camper project for the misses first. Bah.

Those goggles do look pretty cool. Would they look that good being used on a self build? Quality wise I mean?

Yeah. Apparently it’s like going from the old style tv picture (the analogue, you know? when c4 first started) to hdmi.

If that’s true its gotta be a no brainer at some point mate :+1:t2:

I know, but it’s lots of :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound:

Those promo vids look amazing with the best fpv pilots, stunning locations and some epic video editing skills BUT I’m pretty sure Me in the middle of a local farm field on a grey British day it won’t be looking quite so good  although sitting in the middle of a field looking like an Alien fighter pilot is a big pull :alien:

Too much in my opinion, but I wouldn’t say no if someone gifted me a setup

Well, as to who this is targeted to. In my opinion, I started off building an autonomous drone, but got bored of it. They just fly themselves.
Maybe it’s targeted at pilots who have dji products already, the dji crowd is quite large I should imagine. They might want that ‘new toy’ with a bit more buzz in it. But with the fail safe fall backs.

The only thing I see appealing to fpv pilots is the motion controller. When it’s perfected.
I do hope it is transferrable / hacked to be… looks like a cool gizmo.

Like you’d be flying this 87 mph 800 gm flying beast in a park or congested area?

But you just know someone will. Unfortunately.

A bit like one shouldn’t take a go-kart on the roads. (Wherever this was taken.)

And wherever it was taken - chances are 131mph isn’t legal in anything, let alone a go-kart.

But - I can’t pretend there’s not a little bit of me that wouldn’t quite like to. :smiling_imp:

Well, here’s my reasons, and a run down of the specs… And why the Combo package only comes with 1 battery…

Shit! Can see this being in the headlines before long :scream:

With the sort of flying that people have seen and want to emulate by buying this drone crashing is a part of the game and this thing just isn’t made for crashing. So hopefully most people clueless enough to contemplate flying it close to bystanders will also be clueless enough to have written the thing off before an accident occurs.

That’s pretty much the only place to fly this thing I think… I really do wish it was a 249 gm FPV; way safer and way more places to fly…
