DJI goggles review

Just to say that I’ve had a mavic pro now for a couple of years and whilst I’ve enjoyed it I have started to find it a little bit same old if you understand.
A friend of mine has some oculus goggles and was extorting their positive points and it got my interest in finding something that could link to my drone and also the PlayStation and even watching films on the television. The oculus really doesn’t tick these boxes so I got looking at the dji goggles. They were available refurbished from amazon for £250 so I thought I might give them a try as at that cost it’s not the end of the world if I don’t get on with them.
Next day delivery and if I’m totally honest I’m absolutely blown away with them. It’s taking the drone to a whole new level. Yes I know I need a spotter to stay within the law but it’s incredible to be able to sit and use the head tracking gimbal to look around. Suddenly I’m back into using my drone. So for £250 I couldn’t be happier. Haven’t tried them on the PlayStation yet and also I have ordered a set of focus fixers but I’m a happy bunny again

Sent mine back, had a lazy eye as a baby so vision in the left is shit, the inability to move the speed/distance gauges to the right hand side of the screen killed it for me ;o(

Ive been thinking about these for a while too - my only worry was that Ive seen they can cause nausea but maybe thats only if flying FPV and fast fast. Good investment/aftersale tho at 250 - damn good deal I reckon

Hi,
You could try getting a 250 quad, and fly that FPV with goggles,
These guys will extoll the virtues and give you loads of encouragement

I bought the only DJI ones available at the time, the white ones then guess what the RE edition came out the following week. I ended up selling the white for at loss of £100 after I got the RE.
I use the RE with Mavic Pro, gaming, race quad, Inspire 2 and Parrot Disco.
I cut down my own prescription lens to fit too, I haven’t used my Fatshark for a long time now.

I feel that they really open up the drone to its potential, it’s hard when you are trying to look through a phone screen and fighting the sun all the time to see what’s going on. The whole head tracking thing is incredible, obviously you look a right plonker with a small fridge on your face but if your thinking of trying it then I would say give it a go it’s pretty good

Yes, also I’ve found that being shortsighted I really don’t need to use my proscription glasses anymore.

I use these for fpv, inexpensive comfy and doed the job!

…and I’ve got a set going up for sale in a few days time, VGC

Cheers
