The forecast and the app said 9-10 knots but it dealt alot more to the point that I was about to pack up and go home.
Thought I would post this in here as I think itās related.
I have just tested the inspire for the first time since I had the above issues. Upon take of i get a message saying ultrasonic systems error land immediately
Did they get damaged during the forced landing?
Guide on replacement if needed can be found here.
If it did its not obvious, I just done a quick ebay search and there are none listed that I could find. Any other suggestions?
@macspite was breaking an Inspire for spares recently
What happens if you simply turn off the VPS in your app? Do you still get the errors?
Thanks, I will try switching it off tomorrow.
@macspite would you happen to have one knocking around?
Yes. And I have just spent an enjoyable evening trying to wrap a case in cardboard Try switchig it off and on again tomorrow and let us know the result/
I tested the inspire today only low level (3-4m) as I left the charged batteries at home it did not show the error message again but it seemed to wonder slightly and I was adjusting its position instead of it being fixed in one position. Is there a way of calabrating the VPS. I did a sensor calabration last night not sure if this includes vps.
I havenāt had the need to calibrate the VPS myself but Iāve found a DJI video on doing it for the P4 which has a similar system How to Calibrate the Vision Positioning System on DJI Phantom 4 - YouTube
While you are at it Iād give both the IMU and the compass a workout.
Calibrating IMU: https://www.premiumbeat.com/blog/how-to-calibrate-the-dji-inspire-1-drone/ Also covers compass calibration - which you do religiously before every flight, right?
Iv just watched this vid thanks I will do this tomorrow hopefully.
I calabrated the IMU last night this is done through the app of Iām not mistaken.
I tried this today and either I am missing something or there Is no assistant software for the inspire 1. The one I downloaded didnāt recognise it when I plugged it in.
My bad, That article was from 2015 and was using DJI Pilot software which has been superceded by DJI GO. Here is a very bored sounding American telling you how to use the current software:
I am starting to realise why I got this inspire 1 for so cheap .
No major issues just a few little niggling issues. I have had intermittent video transmission problems and at one point I couldnāt get any video through to the screen.
I had a good luck at the gimble mount, the gimble itself and the camera. Changed the USB lead, tried a different phone.
I decided to have a look inside the gimble itself and found one of the flat wire connections has at some point been crimped. I have released it and straightend it out and now the camera works again for now. But I can only assume that will fail again
