The controller style used on the MP range
Good morning all, just thought Iâd share this video or film (as itâs over an hour long) on DJIâs new drone, the Mavic 3 which Philip Bloom has exhaustively tested.
Happy watching!
Video?
You canât see it Deano?
Itâs really good
@mpaull we have added the YouTube link in to your post for you.
Doh. Gone and done the classic me. Thanks for adding the vid GADC Committee:-)
I look forward to the Mavic 3 vs Evo 3 comparison
Based on this comparison my money is on the Evo III
Anyone seen the discounts on the Mavic 3 on Amazon UK?
Just been out with my A2s today and completely fell back in love with it. I wonât be rushing out to buy a M3.
So to answer you question.
No I havenât sorry but it would have to be given some serious update or come down in price a large amount before I would be tempted.
TBH I love my M2P. The A2s is just easier to fly and I prefer the Fly app.
I think they are matching Costco
Another 93% off, and Iâll dust off the credit card.
Me too I suppose. Saying that I should go in for cull on my drones. I have never sold one as yet. the thought of selling a drone is like losing a tooth.
sorry canât do it.
I originally posted about the discount on the Evo discussion post, because they were discussing Amazon pricing, but admin in their wisdom moved my comment here
I have read/watched a bit on this update and it is a bit debatable.
It seams some are fixed and others are not, I will wait and see what the outcome is.
Thanks for the info @ianinlondon
Try not to exaggerate
Ok so I did some reading and watching YouTube, including yours @ianinlondon and thought WTF and took that plunge.
Turned the M3 on after the update (which was the first time today so a cold start) and I had a 15 sat lock in 35 seconds. The drone was in my bedroom on the windowsill
Yep this update works.
The quick transfer seams to be slower if you ask me.
I met Steve on the beach again todoat. He has a carvan oin the creek and flies various drones from a niche in the sea wall. Today it was a Mini 2 though he has a range of DJI aircraft and
an Autel drone.
He recently bought a Mavic 3, Last time we met he was complaining of 4 to 6 minutes waits for GPS to establish a home point. Today he revealed another problem.
He had flown two early morning sessions with mist at ground level, clear 10 feet or so above. He noticed moisture on the Mavic 3âs arms after the seconf dlight so wiped it off. Moved to a new location and half-an-hour later, after the drone had basked in the sun for a while, he took off. Five minutes into the flight the aircraft fell vertically from the sky.
The fall was about 89 feet. The gimbal was broken into several pieces, one arm was badly cracked. His initial thought was that the battery had become unlatched and the motors stopped but the aircraft was transmitting video all the way down to the ground, Examination of the Airdata log showed a normal flight until 09:12 a.m. when the motors suddenly went to idle and the height went from 80 feet to 0.
With three and a half grandâs worth of scrap drone he isnât the happoiest bunny on the block. The wreckage is now with DJI Netherlands for investigation.
