DJI Mavic 4 Pro - Rumours, leaks, gossip and general discussion

Which is not a legal flight until you get the A2CofC. But who are we to say what the rules are, as someone who has many years of experience above is telling us to chill out :man_facepalming:

I think the point was that if you’ve done the course for your A2 CofC it will definitely have covered the Open subcategories and you should know why this…

…makes my brain hurt.

Maybe fly under A16 rules? Not checked distances.

Bag has arrived. Plenty of options to optimise the setup but very solid

EDIT: v2

On another note: if anyone is on the lookout for a matte screen protector for the RC 2 Pro:

There is a real problem with Mavic 4 Pro availability in the USA.

So much so that even hard case provider of choice Go Professional Cases (GPC) can’t get a Mavic 4 in to their factory to laser scan it in order to make a case for it :exploding_head:

Their reply to my enquiry this week:

Time to pop out and buy two things ..

  • Mavic 4 Pro
  • 3D scanner

.. then sell them the scan data for way more than you spent. :+1:

These hard cases by lykus are excellent build quality from experience - ok it’s a week or 2 wait but would be worth it .

I quite like it, but it isn’t small. It’s got spare space if you’re not carrying the charger (there’s a flap under the controller space for it that folds down). There’s no zip, and the fastener isn’t very convincing, but good for quick access. The fabric looks tough. I’ll probably generally stick with it, as it’s too large for my camera bag that holds my Air 2S nicely along with mirrorless system.

It looks like the m 4 pro is likely to ‘shake’ around a fair bit. My air 2s is really snug it it bag. Thanks for popping the pics up.

Just out of interest @BingBong does the m 4 pro have an fpv mode? Im wondering if there is one if its any better then all the other dji drones that have it because of the new gimbal dedign. Fpv mode on the air 2s is pretty useless because the gimbal turns when you fly around but then just seems slam back when you go straight

Cant type m 4 pro for some reason as a single word

Because it could mean a Mini 4 Pro

I’ve been / was doing a bit of digging on the net after you posted that the other day didn’t find much - then today there’s more on the YT people are moaning about it, I know you’ve sent it back but just wanted to highlight what you found seems to be the same for all, maybe the new design ? - maybe the centre weight where it is much heavier along with the longer thin ish back legs & the way they sit up rather than down,
I’m not bothered cuz I’m not getting one :+1:

Yeah I saw one today too, hearing loads being returned, mine was really violent more than the one I saw today, I’m more than happy with the Air 3S and RC Pro 2 :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I think also because of the power of the motors + the design, unfortunately this can’t be solved with a FW update :grimacing: hmmmmm the design, maybe ok for hand launchers but those who take off from the ground maybe will notice it more .

I’ll try to have a try next time I’m flying. It’s over a kilo, not really designed for FPV!
