My initial comparisons of 25Mp v 100MP DNGs show a slight improvement for the larger files if you view at comparable magnification, but generally not worth it, and the 100MP look fairly horrible at 100%, benefitting from AI denoise. The 25MP JPGs as shot are a bit soft. This is in Lightroom Classic before full Adobe support.

I’ll be sticking to 4K video mostly, haven’t got round to trying 6K yet.

Take my chest outta your mouth

I found that with my Autel Evo.

I had both the 6K and the 8K cameras for it but I never recorded at more than 4K because, well, who has an 8K TV to watch it on? :person_shrugging:t2:

Indeed, only really useful if you want to crop in post, but I’ve never felt the need so far. My Air 2S did 5.4K, but I stuck to 4K on that mostly.

Yeap- that’s why I am doing the A2 CofC exam. Hasn’t been a problem finding places to fly even in central London, actually. My Mini 4 Pro feels like a toy next to the Mavic.

Wait… you’re finding places to fly a Mavic 4 in central London without even having an A2 CofC? Colour me intrigued. Where??

I’d find that hard to do, even with an A2 CofC

Try as I might, I cannot find anywhere to place a circle with a 150m radius (basically, the O2 Arena) that doesn’t include any residential, commercial, industrial or recreational land, and that can be closed off to stop people wandering by. But every day is a learning day so I’m happy to be shown what I’m missing.

Yeap. I am in E14 6TX- Bartlett Park. No issues at all early in the morning with no people around.

As for the A2 certificate- any tips and tricks to share? I have now completed the UAV Academy course and need to sit the exam.

Nope. That would be recreational land. Regardless of whether there are people or not, without the A2 CofC you can’t fly the Mavic 4 there. Sorry :frowning:

Do the revision and, if they provided any, do the practice exams. Sounds flippant, but if you know your stuff the exam is pretty straightforward.

I’m still with Joe and the confusion on your statements around flying there @NYanakiev

Here’s a 150m radius over your park:

And I don’t know how you get around the uninvolved persons rule either:

Another example of uninvolved persons would be people sitting at a beach or in a park or walking on a street or on a road.

Try a few scenarios on Good 2 Go, let us know how you get on

Yeap, fair. Seems like I need that A2 certificate sooner rather than later.

@NYanakiev but the A2 CofC won’t let you fly a drone that heavy in your park either?

Please try Good 2 Go, it’s for this very reason that it exists

Implying that I am bullshitting? Why would I want to do that?

TBF you have both put different answers for the overflying. With the A2CofC you’ll still need to be >50m away from uninvolved people, and in that park I struggle to see how you can do that.

True, it is not a large park. I did point out, however, that I have flown there early in the morning when there is no one around.
