DJI Mavic 4 Pro - Rumours, leaks, gossip and general discussion

No sign of RAW images being captured whilst recording video .. so not for me.

(One day this will come back and haunt me. )

So a grand for 2 batteries for a folding drone

And 1200 quid for a controller that looks like how I used to have my OG mavic pro set up with a tablet.

If a drone has 3 cameras its weird they didnt decide the shortest would be wider than 28mm or is that a typo.

I don’t think so, I’ve seen it a few times now. Some say it might be because they’ve gone to f2 from F2.8. There’s also talk of a larger sensor, but I think they must be referring to the resolution, rumoured at 100MP, presumably Quad Bayer, so 25MP pixel-binned. I’ve got used to the 22mm 3:2 sensor on my Air 2S and love it. 24mm 4:3 is just about acceptable, but 28mm seems a bit limiting, forcing panos more of the time.

Is this including tarrifs?

So cheaper for the rest of the world?

Surely this isn’t accurate - unless they are saying that for 360 images everything is captured.

As the gimbal wouldn’t rotate 360.

The clue is in the thread title, take it as it is

  • DJI Mavic 4 Pro Intelligent Flight Battery $180 USD
  • DJI Mavic 4 Pro Parallel Charging Hub $100 USD
  • DJI Mavic 4 Pro Propellers $19 USD
  • DJI Mavic 4 Pro Propeller Guard $39 USD
  • DJI Mavic 4 Pro Electronic ND Filter$220 USD
  • DJI Care Refresh 1-Year Plan (DJI Mavic 4 Pro) $225 USD
  • DJI Care Refresh 2-Year Plan (DJI Mavic 4 Pro) $365 USD

Removable Electronic ND Filter?

What surprised me the most from this list is that “DJI Mavic 4 Pro Electronic ND Filter$220 USD” is still sold separately. Until today I thought DJI finally found a way to integrate the ND Filters in the camera. But as seen in the picture above, the front will snap off and the camera will have some kind of connector to control the Electronic ND filter… Hypothetically this could mean a ‘classic’ Mavic 4 Pro might be sold without the ‘expensive’ filter and third party manufacturers will still sell you their cheaper

I see this the other day about the rumoured electronic ND filters but I thought it was click bait & thought if it were true wait & see if it’s posted here, obviously is true …

I’ll be honest I hated the aesthetics of that drone but it’s started to grow on me, not sure bout the Rc tho maybe top heavy, we shall see.

Genuinely thought you were referring to the look of it to be honest

If you look at it upside down, could almost be an elephant giving birth to a monkey…

Here’s the upside down view :upside_down_face:

How far have they managed to get those buttons and the mode selector switch from your thumbs on that new controller :joy:

A couple of observations from those photos

  1. The people at DJI know how to position the antennas correctly:

  1. The sticks look like they’ll fold down flat in to this gap when you put the screen down:

It’s not like DJI, to cut off a revenue stream, no more having to buy spare sticks for that just in case I lose one situation (which never happens )

They’ve planned for that. Looks like they’ve whittled the stick down just thin enough to snap off. They used to get £10 for a spare pair of sticks, now they’ll take £100 for the ‘repair’
