After seeing how noisy the Mavic Air was, I’d like a nice clear video of the Mini taking off to gauge how loud it is

Sorry Dave, I completely missed the differences in the model numbers themselves. So yes, looking at that, it does indeed look like two physically different versions.
Which is a big shift for DJI, they’ve always managed CE/FCC mode with GPS location and firmware in the past.
It’s a bollocks for us as it means no FCC hacks.
Wonder if you can swap the radio modules out?

Random (and useless) fact of the day, the wingspan of the Mini is almost identical to that of the Air.
As the camera looks to be the same as the Air (1/2.3” CMOS / 12MP) I’m also wondering if the specs may be restricted by software alone?
4K video I can live without (I don’t even own a 4K TV) but the lack of RAW photo mode is a bollocks. Maybe something could be unlocked… 
Quite sure i read that DJI have crippled it to 2.7 k.so as not to effect sales of the other mavics,so yes, i would think it is a software limitation…so maybe it could be “Hacked”

Wondering how long before DJI release the SDK for it too, no doubt the guys at Litchi are ready and waiting.
I seem to remember the SDK for the Air took forever to get released, but when it did there was a Litchi beta available within a matter of days 
So … I still want to know what all those screws are for.
