I had the exposure set to max last night when I went for a local jaunt, when I turned it on this afternoon the settings were still set to max so the screen was white. Having adjusted it all back and used correct settings (sunny so the lowest exposure) the play back has white and red noise on the edges, just did a test flight in the garden where I changed the exposure and cycled through, the noise appears on most but as the exposure increases it is less noticeable.
I presume then that this has become one ruined drone that can’t be fixed and it is now time for an upgrade? Ignore the cropping in the middle, that crops me out of the video. The red and white butn is visible on the right slightly too…
Have you got a plain blank background you can film in decent light.
Grey cards used to be brilliant for this type of thing

Its a Mini 3 - yes I can try and do more with a plan blank background. The wall is that any good?
In the presumption that it is fubar, does the Mini 4 Pro use the same batteries and also if the video is fubar does that also mean the camera is fubar? Will film the wall now
Will need to wait until light tmrw as dark now but will do it. Light background I presume.
Consistently lit , light is better but either should do.
Natural daylight if you can (that’s when the camera is used most)
No they are different, they will work in the Mini 4 but the drone will be over 250g as they are heavier
That just looks like you have it set at a high ISO. When you say you had it at “max exposure” what are the actual settings? I’m guessing it was in manual mode and not auto.

Id send it to dji grt them to check the camera
Right just sorting the video now to upload but I think this is now user error. My ISO was jacked to 3200 and I had forgotten to turn it down. I just put it back to 100 / 200 and am about to test. Will upload shortly. I genuinely thought I had ruined it!

Looks like I have avoided upgrading for now… can you damage the camera in this way by leaving the settings jacked or is it not really possible? It looks ok to me unless I am missing something, bit of a lack of blank canvas but hey ho.
I’d suggest not really possible.
I’ve taken loooooong time-lapse with DSLR of sunrises … even that slow-moving, bright, spec of light hasn’t caused any issue with the sensor.
Also *many *looooooooong time-lapses of the Milky Way (6+ hours) with high ISO settings. No problems.
Thats good news, I really thought I had wrecked it. I even almost clicked buy on a Mini 4 Pro Fly More combo yesterday to get it here and setup in time for Sardinia in a couple of weeks. But looks like I can take the 3 which was ideal, as I am prepared to lose it without a fuss if I have issues with plane, heat, sea or anything else. I wouldn’t fancy taking a better drone abroad.
The story was I got a bit tipsy on Friday and sent it up at night, maxing out the ISO and exposure. I took one down and not the other so the screen looked ok on play back. It wasn’t till I got it back and uploaded I saw the screen burn. Live and learn, rookie error I guess. Cheers for the feedback.
