DJI Mini 3 Pro SD card in drone and in RC

Could someone please answer a question on Sd cards.

I put my sd card into the drone (mini pro 3) bcecause the way I understand it that then records with the best quality. I can then take the card out and pilit it into my mac to download best quality footage.
Its my understanding that if I had put the card in the controller it would only save the lesser quality images and it is really only intended to use an sd card to save screen recordings.

My question is if I put a card in both does the one in the controller then save the high quality image from the drone or just the low quality from the controller?

I recently lost a drone (my fault) and had to claim flyaway from dji. It wasn’t an issue but they asked if I had any footage which I didn’t because the sd card was in the drone.
So what happens if i put a card in both?
Thanks in anticipation :slightly_smiling_face:

This should help explain

Do wish the controller had an option to start a screen recording when you take off as remembering to do so can be a bit of a faff at times.

There are other benefits to having an SD card in the controller.
1-backup card should you forget to put the one back in the drone
2 - storage for downloaded maps
3 - screen recording
4 - screen recording with audio ( if you have a mic plugged into the remote ) should you wish to record voice narration of a flight

Just on the topic of giving DJI data about the flight - you should have the flight logs on the controller to give to them.

Thank you
