Hi all my mini 4 pro seems to have problem with the RC2 controller or it may be a simple adjustment, when I move the stick Ether left or right the drone tends to climb quite steeply as well as moving left or right,
Is there an adjustment I’m missing, All I want is to keep the drone level and not gain height as well, Thanks is advance.
Hi Mike, are you sure you’re not touching the opposite stick at the same time ? ( and inadvertently causing the climb yourself ? )
@Mike.B Check this Mike☝️ Leave the left stick alone and just move the right stick. Does it gain height then? If so check what control mode you’re using ie most use Stick Mode 2. If it persists report it to DJI for repair/replacement!
Are you close to objects or out in the open as it sounds like the obstacle avoidance is kicking in and the drone will raise to avoid it
I think you might be right Sparkyws about the object avoidance, As yet I have been practising in my garden and it’s not very big, Six foot fencing either side, Do you know what the distance is when the mini4 would react Cheers Mike.
1.5 metres or so, the display on the controller will warm you
You can disable it in the app or put it in sports mode which will
But I recommend not doing that as you need to learn to fly it first, go to an open space and practice
You can usually tell if the OA is causing an issue as the controller will be beeping, and (if you have it switched on) you should see the “radar” showing red where the OA has detected something close.
I wondered what the red lines and bleeping was all about BudgieUK, I will definitely
Read the manual Ha,Ha…
@Mike.B Did you resolve your issue Mike or does it persist in misbehaving?
It’s a case of not reading the manual D0c.Col, And practising in the garden,
I think the drones sensor was picking up my six foot high fences.
@Mike.B We all live and learn Mike. I’ve been doing this stuff for 3 years now and still haven’t read the manual, as I’m a picture man myself!
