I have recently upgraded from the Mini 2 to the Mini 4 Pro, I took the memory card out of the M2 to use in the M4P thinking that it would be ok to use but had a message displayed on screen telling me that the card was too slow, so I bought a SanDisk extreme pro card and the message no longer appears.
An issue that I have with both cards though is when doing a quick shot, after it’s completed the manoeuvre it then takes a minute or so to save the video, never had this delay with the M2.
Is it likely to be the memory card that’s causing the slow video processing or is it likely to be a hardware issue? Has anyone else noticed a delay after the quickshot is complete?
I have reached out to DJI but they came back with the standard “try another SD card” so thought I’d ask here first before I purchase another card.
I have the same drone and SD card.
Not had this with quick shots (yet) as I have not used them on my 4 Pro, however if I capture a full 360 pano of 35 shots after the last photo is taken I can see the percentage to completion usually around 60%, taking about 30 - 40 more seconds to complete.
With camera set to RAW a 7 shot E stop burst will take about 10 seconds before I can shoot again.
I would think its the internal buffer of the drone saving to the card, my previous Nikon D7000 was the same, taking a bit of time to transfer to the card.
In the case of the panorama, my Mini 4 Pro finishes taking pics at 50% and then we have to wait another 30 seconds or so to get to 100%, which I have always presumed is it being stitched together - no idea if that happens on the craft or on the remote, but the time is always the same. Haven’t noticed any delay in quickshots, but like Rich, I really don’t do very many of those, so may not have noticed.
Thank you both for the replies, went and bought another card, still the same but it would appear from your replies that it is just the drone or controller processing the images.
When using the mini 2 and my phone, the process is a lot quicker as mentioned, no delays. I will get used to the delay I’m sure
Thanks.
