Dji mini 4 propeller holder

What do you folks use for a dji mini 4 propeller holder?

I am using the one that came with the drone and I think it is good, but struggle to get it on the drone!

Has anyone found something easier to attach that doesn’t bend/crush the blades?

Thanks in advance

ask the postman for one of his rubber bands they do the trick

But I have done without opening and closing the drone legs with one of these cases

I bought a lanyard and came with some accessories , incl Prop Holder

I got this one from Amazon, as the one provided with the Mini 4 was just too picky about positioning the props. It was more expensive than it should be for what is just a piece of moulded plastic, but it does the job well and still protects the props.

@Shane22 Hi Shane, I wonder if you’re maybe not applying the DJI prop holder correctly. If it and the blades are positioned correctly it,'s easy to close and the blades should be able to move slightly… at least they do on my mini 4.

I agree, if you position it properly it will lock easily, there is a slight pressure on the props but it doesn’t look like it can cause any permanent damage.

I’m not a fan of the supplied holder either, elastic band is quicker and easier IMO.

You will find a variety of cheap ones on Aliexpress or Ebay:

I think it’s a pain in the arse tbh, will be changing it asap :+1:

I find fitting the prop clip onto the Mini4Pro to be quite difficult, and I even feel that I have to use more force than I’d like to ‘clip it in’.

Does anyone use an alternative that they are happy with?

@BudgieUK we’ve moved your post to the thread where this was discussed a few weeks ago.

Would you believe I searched for this question and didn’t find anything…. Thanks GADC

Found a Mini 3 Pro prop clip set to print on Thingiverse so tried the top one to see if it fits the mini4 and bingo…

Printed in TPU its a nice easy fit.

Printed the bottom clip, just as good a fit.

I’m joining this thread because I’m also having this problem. Not just finding it tricky but the little foam rubber thing on the back keeps falling out. Today I’ve managed to loose that bit. Now ironically it’s easier to fit and I don’t have to press so hard to close it, but I’m not sure if it is as safe or whether the props will get bent. Do you think it’s okay to use without the padding?
@BudgieUK what did you end up doing?

Lanyard is a great idea. I’m off to buy one now. DJI / Hassleblad has them reduced to three pounds.

After years of struggling to get the prop holders on drones easily, the Air 3S doesn’t even come with one… which leaves me wondering if I’ve been wasting my time all along

I stopped damaging the tips of the Air3/Air3s props when I started removing them when I have the drone in my bag. I think you only need a clip because the small drones props arent removable so you dont have the option.

Didn’t even occur to me to take them off when I’m putting it in the bag. Oops! :man_facepalming:

I dont use the DJI bag its a Lowepro droneguard backpack which also has other things pressing on it like batteries and heavy powerbanks. The orange tips on the props were splitting regularly but then someone on here said try removing the props and that solved it.
