DJI Mini 4K won't recored video and I can't see pictures

Hi, so i got the DJI mini 4k the other day. I managed to take a couple pictures and a video on the day i got it. Just tried to take some videos and pictures and it was working, but then the video stopped and it wouldnt let me take a new one. It would let me take pictures and looked like it was saving them, but i cant view them.

This is all i see when i try to view what ive taken.
Any suggestions please??? Xx

Is it turned on?

Do you have a memory card in the drone.

Which device are you using with the drone @MattyP1397

Are you using an Android smartphone?

Because if it isn’t, and you have not saved files to your device they wont be there :person_shrugging:

Yes it was turned on :joy::sweat_smile:

Yes

Yes its an android phone

Did you actually stop recording before you turned the drone off. Forgetting to do that will corrupt the file.

It stopped recording on its own and then wouldnt start recording again

Im going to try again tomorrow and ill try and screen record what happens.

Try a different SD Card, too. Yes never know .. :man_shrugging:

Yh good thinking. Will do.

Did you remove the SD card from the drone and checked its contents on a PC

not yet no. just ordered a card reader from amazon and should be here tomorrow. will have a look and let you know. thank you!

microSD card is incompatible or corrupt, tell us what card your using as you might not have enough speed write.

If you think card is ok format it while in the bird.

As suggested trying another card but like I said it needs to be a quality card not another old one in the back of your draw.

There is a thread on good SD cards and will not rob the bank.

Good luck.

I’ve bought a new one which arrives tomorrow. its a 4k one so should be good enough i hope. the first few i tried were from the back of a draw and were corrupted and wouldnt format. the one i put it isnt that old but has been sat doing nothing for a while. ill let you know tomorrow if this sorts it out.

There’s a reccommended list of SD cards in the manual. 64gb is plenty for most drone use. Carry spare just in case. Format in drone after downloading content. My SD only leaves the drone for downloading to phone with the reader.

There as been lots of fakes cards on Amazon and eBay all in good packaging but are worthless.

If you get one from Argos etc at least you can return it, lots of my friends have had this problem with Rasp pi not working either.

well the weather has been terrible since i got the new card so i haven’t been able to fly it. from what I’ve tested indoors it works fine, but so did the old card. that only massed up when i tried properly flying it. so will have to wait for better weather to fly it and try it out. will let you guys know if its sorted. thank you again for all your help!!! x
