Not via dji themselves, but potentially via resellers.
I have taken advantage previously.
But agree, not massive discounts

Donāt mind buying lightly used
After spending 3k plus on the Mavic 4 Pro Iād be looking for a really good deal.
I already own a Mini 4 Pro so a potential want and not a need
Side note regarding the twitch stream issues posted earlier.
Apparently its a know fault, bug issue etc with the current versions of dji fly on the rc2 that a microphone is required for the stream to initialise.
The controller has to detect some form of audio input hardware.
My swift work around was to bluetooth an old pair of earpods which were paired perfectly with the rc 2 and the stream initialised np. I would assume that any generic usb c microphone would work, possible a standard usb and an adapter.
A side side note. If you are fiddling with stream keys n stuff. This version of dji fly has a improved copy n paste function which seems to allow you to PIN multiple items to the clipboard for future use. Worth doing imo as the keys dont seem to persist in the app but be sure to manually PIN the individual items or they are deleted after a hour.
Edit. It seems the audio is only needed for initialisation. Once the stream has started i can put the pods back in their case
I wonder if they have made the battery tabs more stronger⦠The ones that came with the Mini 3/4 were not the best and I went through a couple of broken tabs myself.
Sadly not, theyāre very flimsy.
Linking threads: LIVE teardown of the new DJI Mini 5 Pro ā First look inside!
by at least 2g ;o)
Yall are club fisted cavemen obviously..
To date ive never damaged anything, tabs included..
Well, with the exception if an avata but i deleted the footage so i never happened
Has anyone tried if the 5 batteries work in the 4 or 3 Pro?
I havenāt ordered a 5 Pro yet, but have a pre order with Jessops for one of the Pro 5 extended batteries.
Waiting for it Mini 5 Pro without screen controller flymore to be released (appears only Amazon at the moment?), want to take advantage of the Very discounted price.
Apparently the 5 battery donāt work in the 3 or 4 mini pro but apparently the 3 & 4 batteries work in the 5 pro - not that Iām able to physically try it, but seen it over YouTube ā¦
Ian confirmed that on his video (above) too.
Thanks, I donāt think it will be too long before the fly more without rc2 controller will be generally available?
I donāt usually have anything bad to say about DJI, but limiting this option to Amazon only initially is not a good thing.
I donāt fully understand why you still canāt get a Fly More package with no controller at all. Seems odd that DJI stopped providing mains adapters for new drones under the guise of sustainability but seem happy to throw in RC-N3 controllers that someone with an RC2 or similar would have no use for.
The same reason you canāt just buy a drone on its own.
DJI need to make money.
And they do that buy flogging us stuff we donāt need and by releasing new models every year
Just did a test flight with the extended battery from Mini 3 pro
It doesnāt work that well.
I was only able to get 23 minutes before I had a force landing - although it said it had 2 minutes plus to go.
Some of the flight was in sports mode, which displayed potential battery issues. No issues in normal mode.
I think the drone was clearly taking too much power from the battery.
So whilst it works, I wouldnāt advise it.
Most new batteries donāt reach their full potential until after several full cycles charge/discharge. It would be interesting to see if this is the case with theseā¦
Maybe, run it for a while then try again?

Which Plus battery was this, Ian?
Was it one from a Mini 4 Pro?
Me too, I have the Mini 4 Pro with RC2 and donāt need another controller.
