M :person_shrugging:

Are you planning on flying it in Europe?

There will not be on on the Mini 3 for the UK as the UK is not part of Europe so does not have C labels.

It will be branded as a legacy drone and as its under 250g very little will change when the new regs come in to play next month for this drone.

i think you will find we are part of Europe lol just not the EUROPEAN UNION

Similarly Switzerland, Norway, Iceland (half of), Liechtenstein; Monaco, San Marino, Vatican City, and Andorra.

I don’t think the mini 3 had one , and being sub 250grm if it would need one but if a C label would help then just go on the DJI fly app and you can apply for a label , I just done that for my air 2S and it was very easy and fast to do and it’s free , I’m not sure if it will help but my thinking is it looks like C classified drones will be given a transition period .

Most drones are getting the same ‘transition’ period, label or not

Hi I had a black UK label separate in the box for my new mini4 - which has to be stuck on uk drones apparently. Not sure if this answers your question.

The label on your drone should look like this. UK isn’t part of the European Union so these ‘C Class’ labels are being phased out/replaced Jan 2026. The CAA also intends to clarify if sub-250g drones are going to be classed UK0 or UK1 - currently, they’re both!

I have no clue if you’ll need another label but my Mini 5 Pro Flynore was packaged with labels to stick over the top of the one in the photo … presumable when the CAA clarify the position - in the meantime, none of this is worth worrying about - but wise to ensure your Operator ID is attached on a label on the side of the mini 3 though.

Hi Gaamuk. No only uk m

Hi LE60LAD, Thanks for the reply, I did wonder if it would be classed as a legacy one… I wonder if that will be the same for remote ID for my drone. as any addition would take it over 250g and kill a reasonable flight time too! :open_mouth: M

Hi Rodders007. As my mini 3 is a year or so old and received it without the original box there was no labels … so I’ll wait and see what the CAA says about it in January :person_shrugging: M

I think CAA have made all the announcements they’re likely to make now, we know everything there is to know.

@Malcolmc2 What are you unsure of come 1st January 2026? Maybe some club members can help?

remote ID for legacy drones will come into affect in 2028 - by that time you will ether need an add on or the drone will do it via a software update.

Its also very unlikely that older drones will be able to retrospectively apply a C label or a UK class one. Only time will tell. At best we might and its just a hope from me and I am sure many Air 3s owners that the C class (EU) labels will be have the freedoms they gain in 2026 for way longer than planned currently - but again nothing has been outlined here.

Hi LE60LAD
Thank you for your help as I don’t know when my Mini 3 was purchased I’m not sure if it’ll be able to have an update for this… so I’ll probably get a couple of years of use from it then see how things go regarding a replacement M

Hi Pingspike… I agree with you on that …LE60LAD has answered my main concerns… at the moment :face_with_tongue: M

So bit of same subject i was just able to get a C1 label for my mavic 3 classic bout 15 mins ago!
