DJI Netherlands Delivery Service MOAN 🤬

Following my recent mishap with the Avata 2, DJI allowed me to claim against my Care Refresh policy to cover the repair costs.

I accepted the quote and paid the appropriate fee on Wed 19th June, I immediately received a payment receipt and then a few hours later, i received a DHL shipping tracking number.

The package arrived at DHL East Midlands Airport, at 0130hrs on Saturday 22nd with an estimated delivery date of Monday 24th (today)

After checking the DHL tracking several times today, the package was still subject to customs clearance. So I rang DJI to query the delivery / customs hold up, at round 1300hrs.

Their Representative on the phone was extremely polite and help, she promised to sort this for me.

At 1930hrs still no communication from DJI and no parcel. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Checked DHL parcel tracking and now there’s another problem with the parcel, so I call their customer services centre.

A DHL representative then explains that there is issue with the value of the contents of my parcel and I need to provide evidence of what it is, what I’ve paid for it and why I’ve not purchased the item from a UK supplier.

WTF are they playing at?

After reading reviews and feedback from other DJI drone flyers, about DJI Care Refresh, everyone has been so positive about the experience.

However my experience is not so good :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Rant over.

I’ll be on the phone again tomorrow morning to DJI and I’ll be filing a complaint .

They should have shipped it or a customs declaration - value zero.

If not chase and they will supply one, it’s happened to a few of us (me included)

You should have got a load of paperwork that goes on the outside of the package that has a pro-forma invoice that basically states that the item is being sent for repair so its zero rated. DHL should have seen that and all would be good.

Did you get a load of extra paperwork from your emails and did you print and include them and leave them on the outside of the package so that DHL can view them ? Would have been like 3 copies of it that needed to go with it. Loads of people bin the additional paperwork thinking its printed in error :frowning: its not the case - Thanks Brexit for all this red tape we have to jump though.

A few weeks ago I shipped something to germany - the paperwork when folded up weighed more and was larger than the item I was sending - madness !

Big thanks to the narrow minded exit voters

Bit harsh.

I voted for brexit. As I preferred not to pay the £17 billion each year in tax payers money just to stay in the EU … only for them to write our policies. It’s not perfect now, but it’s ‘our not perfect’.

Meanwhile in Scotland, farmers cant get seasonal workers, neither can hotels, restaurants and cafes. All the europeans that worked in the NHS and private health care sector have gone home. Fruit and veg farms all over the place are stopping, or have stopped, growing fresh produce because they cant get the manual labour anymore.

I also voted for it by the way, but wish I hadn’t

But you have a bean to cup machine, so life is good.

Maybe, but ye have to realise the vast majority of Scotland’s problems have not been caused by Westminster. Ye huv tae look tae Holyrood fur that. ( and we all know whaes been in charge up there for far too long a time):wink::wink:
PS, my experience here south o the border isn’t that most Eastern Europeans have left. Most have actually stayed. If EE’s have left Scotland ye’ll huv tae question why they’ve left ?

Im not blaming westminster Jocky, far from from it. I’ve been a long time SNP voter, but no more.
But I still believe Brexit was/is a bad thing.
But anyway, appologies to @TheBinman for derailing your thread which is way more important than political crap!!!

In general DJI are really good at this stuff, I’ve used them 3 times in a little over two years and not once had a problem, always had first class service. Bare in mind the amount of drones they are shipping about, they are bound to make the odd mistake here and there. The mark of good customer service is what they do to correct their mistakes. I am sure they will have all this sorted out and you will have a shiny new drone in your hands before long :crossed_fingers:

I don’t have it yet, it’s on its way from Wales…and got lost by good old royal fail. Give me care refresh anytime!!!

Yes the 3x invoices were included when I posted the Avata 2 back to DJI.

The replacement drone arrived today, new drone, new goggles and 1x new battery. So I really pleased.

As for paperwork, in / on the box for the package on the return journey to the UK, there was none.

It looks like customs open the outer box, because it was taped up with red & white customs branded tape.
