DJI Osmo Nano mega thread

As always, you heard it here first :star_struck:

Word on the street is that the DJI Osmo Nano launch is just around the corner

DJI still living up to their great model naming convention, here’s the “ON001”.

Looks like there is another modular camera coming from DJI - could be the Osmo Nano if this report has anything to go by.

Looks good and they have priced it well, 64GB is big enough because the base will allow a micro sd

Any one actually purchased one of these?

I’m considering it :face_with_raised_eyebrow::thinking::thinking::thinking::face_with_raised_eyebrow::face_with_raised_eyebrow::face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I did and promptly sent it back, the unit on it’s own is useless battery wise, we went to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Sunday and I had to keep reconnecting it to the main unit to recharge it

Thinking about it for my fpv

Similar thoughts myself, also like to capture random video at meets too. By setting it on a small tripod and letting it record.

Could use my Mic Mini with it too, had it since they came out and only used it once with the Neo.

Ian (Madstech) had his running for 16 minutes on max resolution and max mb/s before it over heated.

What were you using it for Mark?

I had it on my hat, using the hat clamp, just everyday video whilst going around the Animal Park, most I got was 36mins in 3 files, but the firmware is buggy too, but no way near the reputed battery times, great little thing but not for me

Does anyone have any experience of these with recent firmware? Are the battery drain and overheating issues solved? I love the form factor but can’t justify the expense if I can’t even record a 30 minute clip…

I’ll give mine a shot later, see if there is an update and test it

Latest firmware, not hot at all and only lost 25% battery on main unit, hope this helps

Helps? I was hoping you were going to say it made no difference! Now I need to sneak another gadget past t’wife!

Seriously, though, thanks for checking. I may have to pick one up

Yeah totally threw me too, mine never heated up too much anyway, but the battery seems a lot better too

15% off

I think that’s just for accessories rather than the device itself? The 128GB version was £234 in John Lewis the other day. I should have bitten at that price but had been spooked by the overheating reports. Waiting for a similar drop!

its DJI’s Spring Sales at the mo - I too am looking at the Nano - some of the bundles have a small discount on them only a few quid mind but seems that the camera does not - though I am sure I did see a deal earlier on today on Amazon but went back to check and it seems its gone - might have been a flash one - so keep looking

I succumbed and picked one up. It managed a 45 minute dog walk this evening without warming up and plenty of battery left whilst filming at 4K@25fps. What a lovely little device. Thanks for persuading me!
