I have a problem with my Phantom. When I switch on the drone the red lights flash once a second and at the same time there is a beep. Tried to upgrade firmware but I’m getting nowhere.
Does this replicate the same problem as yours,
When was the last time it was working fine, have you had any hard landings etc.
Yes, that is what’s happening. The last time I run the drone it was ok and when I booted it up today it was fine. I then started a firmware upgrade when it started.

I’ve never owned a phantom but on doing a bit of research, that beeping & or of red flashing lights can be one of many many things on that particular drone, the list is quite long tbh,
From things like faulty board / boards within the drone & other electronic parts including gimbal, even down to trying to re flash the firmware ( as you’ve underlined ) & the cable that was used may have been faulty ( not saying yours is ) others have mentioned like yourself trying to do a re flash / firmware upgrade & many have said the flash has failed, have you tried un installing the assistant software on your pc & tried re installing ? Also is the assistant version up to date, also there has been reports on the assistant not always functioning properly on a a Mac, lastly most of everything I’ve read about this problem is, if you done everything you can in trying to solve the issue with not succeeding is probaly advisable to send it to an authorised repair / specialist to get them to take a look,
When I researched earlier the amount of topics on this & or very similar issues can be one of many things & the lists are quite long & does not necessarily say for definite what’s what,
Maybe try un instal re instal the assistant, try a different lead if you have one & or possibly a different pc if you have one, sounds extreme I know but if all fails worst case scenario I’d send it to be looked at & hope it’s something simple ( which it could well be fingers crossed & just needs a service ) unless someone on here is familiar with this & or maybe hopefully able to help further, sorry I could be of no more help but I hope you get it sorted, good luck 
Thanks for your help mate. I uninstalled all the apps and reinstalled them again and downloaded the new firmware and It sorted itself out. I only want the drone for practice before my A2 cofc exam.
