Hi.
I have cached video files on my RC Pro controller.
I would like to transfer them to a MacBook Pro. I do realise that they are a lower quality (HD) to that on the sd card on the drone.
I also realise that I need a program such as Macdroid to assist in the file transfer.
My problem is locating them within the Android file structure.
Can anyone assist please ?
Thanks Kirky. I’ had already seen this. It really relates to copying files from an internal sd card - not the cache files on the internal hard drive.
At 3.30 he says he’s using the internal drive to do the transfer ( not the sd ) sorry if I’ve missed something
Yeah
I just had a look on my rc pro going into every setting & it’s like a maze
Tbh I’ve never really had a good look within the settings, there’s settings within settings & within more settings.
Hi Rich
I took a further look at the video. In it he refers to a program called Android File Transfer. When checking their website I see links to the program for use with Mac. On using the link it now appears to be Windows only. Random internet comments seem to confirm that this is the case currently.
I then resorted to using Macdroid and after a tortuous route through the file structure I found the cached mp4 files.
For anyone following the thread they were here:
storage / emulated / Android / data / dci.go.v5 / files / media caches
Thanks for taking a look at this for me. much appreciated.
Chris
I was in there & got confused
So have you got it all sorted now Chris ?
Easy to get confused - it’s a nightmare!
Yes I’ve managed to locate the files and renamed them with proper names.
Ive also inserted an sd card into the controller and directed the cache into that. It would be so much easier to recover anything - should I need to.
Chris
Managed to find mine ( only 2 video caches ),
You can do it via Bluetooth to iOS / Mac but it’s a bit of a hit or miss whether it succeeds sending the file,
I just tried - paired the rc with my I phone - it gives you a pairing code on the rc screen - then you can select the cache / file to send - press send but file did not send,
I did read about this earlier but was going on your preferred method so didn’t mention this, but as said it’s a 50/50 via Bluetooth sometimes it works & sometimes not.
