Dji RC screen protection

Simple question (I think)
Do you use a screen protector on your DJI RC?
If so, why?
Not not why and have you had any issues with scratch’s

I ask as I am now trying to attach my 2nd screen protector and still can’t get the blasted corners to adhere. So I am wondering if I need it?

Thanks

I put a screen protector on my RC but when I was out flying the protector stopped my RC working properly so I took it off and have never used one. I do have a cover sunshade on my RC which stops scratches whilst not in use.

Always have one fitted, the tough one, not the thin type, never had any issues, you have to make sure the screen is free from any dust etc and more important make sure your hands are clean, otherwise oils will cause bubbles and blemishes to happen when fitting

I use one on my rc pro as for the same reason I use one on my phone,

Touch wood no scratches on the screen, always used a screen protector from day one for the obvious reasons, is a good precaution at least
Amazon do some good quality ones if your having trouble.

Not had issues with it interfering or causing screen issues I guess the better quality or a little more pricey can sometimes help, this is my own experience btw :+1:t2:

I got a tablet screen protector from argos, cut it to fit and still have a spare, i hate finger marks on anything

fitted on to the RC for the MINI3, which has now crakced - screen ok - and got a cover sunshade like Nicola has to use over the top. Havent got anything on my RC2 yet for the AIR3, the sunshade wont fit as the RC2 has external antenna

Seems you all agree with me. I have always used a screen protector on all my gear. Keep trying to fit the ones I have. 2nd time lucky. Found a good one for the Mini 3 Pro RC on Amazon. Like glass.
Wish me luck.

Thank you

I am waiting for one of the covers to come out for the new rc 2

Ive got the moulded sunshade but pain to put on/take off, so I got the matte screen protector that I put on top of a gorilla glass protector!
It cuts down reflections on the screen and no probs with accessing screen controls etc. Cant see sh1t though.:rofl:

I do it mostly for the matte anti-glare surface cutting down on the direct reflection, the same as my phone, tablet, cameras, etc.

I use a screen protector & a clip on “sun shade” that I purchased from Amazon. I did a day with a guy from UAVHUB & he said get the protector.

@Pmm0607 you’re free to post links to Amazon here, not just the descriptions

Notice how the video skips between laying the protector down and smoothing. they didn’t want to show the next hour trying to get the air bubbles out.

Hi @swarfmaker, it looks as though you’re quite new here :wave:t2:

Why not nip over to the Introductions page, and say hello properly and tell us a bit about yourself. :+1:t2:
