my RC Controller wouldn’t update from 1.13.1 to 1.13.2 eventually got it updated. Then version 1.13.4 arrived, which it updated then shortly after that 1.13.5 came out.
My RC2 & RC Pro controller both updated to 1.13.5 but the RC controller didn’t, this started my trail to find out when. Also my friend has an RC Controller stuck on 1.13.1 and still doesn’t show any updates. Went onto the DJI Forum and there are others who are stuck to 1.13.1 and according to an DJI affiliate 1.13.1 who replied stating this the latest update for that controller.
So I’ve stated the obvious some of us are stuck on 1.13.1 so please explain how my controller can update to 1.13.4, so release notes are wrong and there are definite issue updating the RC since 1.13.xx.
Hi Kirky this is for RC2 controller Mini 4 Pro / AIR 3.
RC & RC Pro Controller is for Mini 3 Pro / Air2S and some Mavic’s, the RC controller is newer I think than the RC Pro and the RC Pro gets updated before the RC Controller, well mine got updated to 1.13.4

Do you not have to go into the settings as he explains in this video to be able to update the app once again appologies.
Even Nobbygreen had in his you tube video, DJI release notes were not up to date. So goes to show their procedure, well if there’s a procedure in place they aren’t following it…lol

Only reason I jumped was, the Darren fella states in his video ( yes for RC 2 i know, I thought the procedure maybe the same for RC ) Meaning, instead of trying to update from where it’s the usual obvious he goes into a different part of the screen to update the app if that makes sense.
Update, DJI replied 2 hours ago, they have now updated the release notes for this update to show 1.13.4 but not how to fix the issue some of have got getting the update when it doesn’t show.

Hello, it seems DJI are updating the firmware to all controllers, ( well RC, RC2 and RC Pro). Some of the firmware (for RC) also updates the Fly App and all get the latest Flysafe database still dated 2024-02-05.
The biggest firmware update was 1590mb but downloaded the fastest and installed the quickest.
Only problem with these controller updates is it seems to slow down the controller start up. When I first got my Mini 3 Pro with the RC controller, the controller booted up within a minute. Now after numerous updates, it can take 2 minutes at least
