DJI RC2 Controller jumps back to the go fly home screen

DJI RC2 Controller problem
When i a flying my mini 4 pro my Controller sometimes jumps back to the go fly home screen without touching it and i have to tap go fly again to get back onto my main flying screen

Hi @there, it looks as though you’re quite new here :wave:t2:

Why not nip over to the Introductions page, and say hello properly and tell us a bit about yourself. :+1:t2:

Can you share a screen recording of this happening? However, I do suspect you are inadvertently touching the home button, top left of the screen

Hi Louishuey,

Despite what SparkyFPV suggested, if it’s any consolation, I have the same trouble with my RC2 controller. It’s particularly and irritatingly prevalent at the start of a flight but can happen at anytime. The flight isn’t interrupted but I keep having to press the go fly button to get the screen to function again. It’s more an irritation than a serious problem. Software updates do not resolve the problem. Sorry not to be able to offer any solutions but at least you know you’re not alone.

On a similar note, when I fly a waypoint mission, I also get a random “Obstacle detected. Waypoint flight suspended.” warning message for no apparent reason. Flying at 120m, no giant sequoias lurking in the shadows, no low flying Santa sleighs or pterodactyls.

I too get kicked back to the previous screen - RC2 controller and Mini4 pro.
I think the problem is my left-hand thumb just touching the top left corner of the screen as I go for height using the joystick.
I tend to rest my thumb on the controller casing while flying, and use just my thumb for controlling the drone, rather than hold the joystick between finger and thumb.
I am considering making some sort of ‘ski-jump’ rest that sticks to the edge of the controller screen (not on the screen itself) and seeing if that resolves my problem.

This problem happens for me despite many controller upgrades, and any drones attached to my RC2 controller, so I think it might be the human touch - in computer terms “digital interference”.

I have the same problem, put it down to me catching the edge of the screen with base of my thumb. I don’t think the controller is designed for people with big hands. I don’t get the same problem with my smart controller where the gap at the side of the screen appears marginally bigger. I also have a habit of accidentally pressing the C2 button. :man_facepalming:

I’ve had the same thing happen with my mini 3 and I am sure that it was a case of big thumbs rather than a technical issue :see_no_evil_monkey:
