I received my refurbished Dji Mini 3 from Dji yesterday. I swear it’s a brand new unit? It didn’t arrive until late so by the time I’d set up drone and controller it was too late to fly. Weather good here today so I’ll be flying her later. The service from Dji was exemplary. I ordered the item Wednesday morning and it arrived Thursday PM. With emails at each stage to keep me update of where my order was. Quick question what charger do Dji owners recommend.
I have a couple of these, they work very well with my DJI drones.
I got my Mini 4K a few weeks ago and was surprised to see (in tiny lettering) on the diagram in the quick start guide that the charger for both drone and controller should be ‘>19w’ - which is pretty juicy tbh.
I use my 95w MacBook charger and it works perfectly. There is also a lot of discussion on other threads re power banks for charging when out and about, I have an Anker 233 which is 20k mah and can stick out 20w so can charge at full speed - worth considering if you’re out for the day.
Enjoy your new gear.
I bought a couple of Vivanco 65w usb-c GaN chargers and a 100w lighter socket charger from amazon and these are great for rapid charging. BUT anyone who has an electric vehicle will tell you that fast charging will stress the batteries and shorten their life-span. I don’t know how (or if) this relates to drone batteries but where possible I use a slow charging 23w adapter for both the drone and controller.
Note, you will see the lights flash more quickly when rapid charging, a lot slower when not.
