Drakelow Viaduct, Burton on Trent

Spanning the River Trent at Burton, this disused railway previously served Drakelow Power Station and joined the Main Line near Ashby. Someone mentioned a Ghost Train…

The calmness of the river surprised me. It still looked flooded down at St Peters Bridge!

Drone scene has been actioned just now too.

Thanks for tip-off - again.

I can see there is a way to walk from St Peters all the way down to this location on the Burton side of the river - so may do that soon and have a good bit of flying - it seems that you can walk along the Viaduct too - sure I saw people on it in your video. MMM interesting

They walked past me, underneath the arch to the other side, and then appeared very soon afterwards up top. I’ve looked through my footage (Osmo inside the car and drone) but didn’t see exactly where they did it. I’m sure you’d be ok getting up there too.

Yes, there’s a public footpath on the Burton side, so that would be better really - fewer people and more scenic.

I sense an auto track video coming?

Thank you for taking the time to and see it as I had no idea it was that nice.
