For me, there is no more beautiful place than the home of my heart, Scotland, from stunning beaches, wild mountains, snow-capped peaks, mighty Castles, bonny heather glens, it has it all - and the warm welcomes, food and whisky make it my paradise on earth!
However, one thing you cannot guarantee is the weather - as has been said, if you don’t lie the weather wait 10 minutes and it will change - but Scotland is stunning no matter what the weather - stunning under blue skies, and equally as stunning - and perhaps more atmospheric - under clouds and rain…
This video is a short explore of the wonderful atmosphere of Scotland when the weather is dreich, enjoy!
Lol, I am not saying that it doesn’t get even more dreich, but we seem cursed with good weather for most of our visits, and the odd occassion it is bad it tends to be too bad to fly… I will try and get more ‘atmospheric’ footage in the future…
Thank you… Yeah I wish we were already up there, but most of that was filmed 5 to 7 hour from home, so only when we go away on holiday… Thankfully not long now until we return to the Highlands to see friends… And before then we have a week to play more locally…
Both the AVATA and AVATA2 I have are controlled using the appropriate MC, I want to get the FPV Controllers, but for the exploring type of flying - up rivers and gorges and through trees - it works well enough…
Great video again Suzanne, cheered me up today as missing our Scottish trips now as unable to make the journey from Hampshire now due to my wife’s health issues
Thanks Don… Sorry to hear that, hope her health improves or a way around the issues can be found, Scotland is just soo stunning… cant wait to move there… in a few years
Yup, lots of folks slate it, but all depends on what you are doing. The FPV controller is good, once you get used to it, but takes some learning to fly manual, something I need to learn yet, until then the MC works well enough
That was our retirement plan, that went out of the window seven years back unfortunately, no progress with her health so we just try to do what we can with local short holidays now, got some great memories and my old drone vids so it’s nice to see yours with the areas we went to prior to having drones. Hope your plans work out
Thanks… We have 3 months left on the mortgage, then 2 years to clear the car finances, and then I think 3 years to make some savings to add to the house price to get something like what we want… fingers crossed we will be moving and semi retired by 2030ish, when I am 63…
