āsolid metalā
āTwas probably a helium balloon
Out of interest, last week I was flying my drone at Tyndrum in Scotland. Had landed my drone ( no restrictions showing on Drone Assist (yes I know)) and about two minutes after Iād landed a RAF fighter jet came through at roughly 150- 300ft at a right rate of knots. The highest I flew was 100m, so Iād say I was well within range of this aircraft had I been flying. At the speed it was travelling, Iād have had next to no warning, so situational awareness wouldnāt have been much use whatsoever.
Was it between 1pm - 3pm?
It says Northern Scotland, though not sure where ānorthernā starts for the RAF.
Photos, or it didnāt happen
Would have been roughly half eleven in the morning.
Milkmanchris says āPhotos or it didnāt happenā
Photos both taken in flight at Tyndrum
These can be checked on google maps / Google Earth etc
Screenshot of the map detail held on my phone
Why are members challenging the authenticity of a members Post by asking for Photo evidence. Surely the contributor would not be making it up. I hope our GreyArrow Group will never turn into the toxic comments witnessed on Facebook Drone Groups. This is a Club of like minded members who as part of being a member have my respect with regard to their content. We are here to learn and share our Drone Journey good or bad. Letās not start putting contributors on Trial!! Regards Nigel G
Pay no attention Nigel, Iām sure itās just ā banterā ( unlike Facebook )
Heres the proof I was there, directly off Google Maps ( with time too)
Well said!
Although the RAF gives out times, theyāre the same as us, if the weatherās good, get out and fly!
Times are normally between 10.00 and 19.00 (weather permitting) Monday to Friday.
I think maybe @milkmanchris was jokingly meaning photos of the fighter jet. As @JockyB says itās all a bit of banter.
Rules of the internet
this
Itās a standard joke
Here here
Iāll bet he was sitting in the back of a Chinook at the time.
Shows what they know solid metal last time I checked it was made of plastic that breaks apart . Have you seen what a goose can do to an aircraft that weighs 20kg
An aircraft that weighs 20 KG, must be a teeny weeny pilot. Oh look, more banter. HEHE
