Don’t see what the problem was. Rules say you can fly as long as it’s not over a crowd and, well, it’s Brentford at home

To me the presence of the stickers would indicate a newly bought drone…and an inexperienced owner 
I’ve met lots of experienced flyers on meets with all the stickers intact, especially that awkward little fucker behind the gimbal ;o)
Don’t they know the stickers weigh over 80g and put the drone well above the 250g limit ?

Self builds aren’t the problem and rarely are. It’s off the shelf drones where Tommy thinks he can throw it up in the sky of the retail car park he’s just purchased it from without reading the manual let alone any regulations.

Self builds tend to be by people who know what they are doing with drones and Tom/Dick & Harry will probably never self build a drone.
However Tom/Dick & Head is very likly to go to Argos, buy a mini2 then straight out of the box, chuck it up into the air with little or no thought to the rules and regulations.
I feel that you should only be able to buy a drone on production of a valid licence.

So what about the 2nd hand market, I’ve sold 4 DJI drones on various sites (including here) who’s gonna control that?
*edit and at the end of the day anyone who can honestly tell me they’ve never broken the drone code isn’t telling the truth
