Hope they check their by-law’s to make sure they are not in breach
When I originally read the headline I thought that it was a start-up company partnering with a council to charge for drone use within the council area.
Yeah I can see how one would think that - haha terror in the minds of us drone pilots that don’t want to pay to fly haha
But nope they are an established company that want TOAL locations for their venture.
I think the proposition says a lot in favour of the hobby… whether we personally would use such a facility or not.
These are for commercial setups. Drone in a box sort of thing.
But with councils letting these sort of things TOAL from their land means more restrictions for us as they have now found a way to cash in on the industry and with councils so cash strap and broke this could be a bit of a cash cow for them.
Luckilly the council where I live is so skint theyre selling all of their buildings off so there will be nowhere to put chargers that will interfere with my flying
I agree about that possibility but in some ways it legitimises drones.
