At least it was the official drone that crashed not some geezer flying over the event.

I was watching the steeplechase the other night and the drone was following the pack
But he didn’t fly over the hurdles he was going under them 
I was hoping he would do a power loop

He (she? other pronouns are available, especially as we’ve invoked the pink tu-tu of shame) was flying through the hurdles during the race? There’s a line between professional footage and showing off, and this sounds to me like the wrong side of it! I’m sort of grateful that this pilot was the official pro; it lets us amateurs off the hook at a time when we’ve had some bad press! Luckily nobody was hurt (to be fair he was following the pack and not in amongst it), but an interrupted race is a serious matter for the athletes, as it will affect the final rankings when it is resumed!
