Drone Flying Montage in Harris And Lewis- The Hebrides

Last summer I took my drone to Scotland for the trip to the Hebrides. Edited some of the footage from various interesting sites around the islands into one clip. I’m also pulling together a sort of travel vlog documentary type thing about the trip which is available on my channel if anyone is interested.

Updated first post. You’d used iframe embedding rather than the URL

Welcome to GADC. :+1:

Thanks for fixing the issue and explaining the problem, much appreciated! Not used to sites being smart enough to embed with just the URL, that’s pretty handy.

Amazing that whaling station chimney shows little sign of its age when the associated buildings are pretty wrecked.

Yep, it’s a pretty incredible site just having the chimney there on it’s own, wished there had been a bit more info available to see what it used to be like.

I didn’t manage to find them, but apparently the local school has a pair of whale jaw bones by it’s gates that were discovered there a few years ago.

incredible views what amazing place, I’ve never been but in Loch Goil in April , you got great weather with no wind that’s got to be a change, :+1:

Yep, got very lucky with the weather. For part of the stay, we were hoping to travel to some of the more remote islands that needed calm seas to make the trip, so the lack of wind was a real bonus.

Very enjoyable, thanks. Looks like an amazing place to visit, especially with a drone. A great mix of amazing natural beauty and a varied range of history. Nice to see some summer shots too and be reminded that the current weather won’t last forever!

Thanks! Indeed, it’s a great place to visit for it’s landscape and history, wish I could have seen more of it while I was there.

And ironically, the reason I was at home posting this on here was because it was too wet to go out and do my planned filming!

Lovely filming you’ve captured the essence of the landscape. You have also captured a friend of mines home. Well done.

Cheers- glad to hear you think I’ve done the place justice. And lucky friend to live somewhere so picturesque!
