Are there any drone clubs or meetings near Portsmouth? Would be good to meet up with like minded people?

Why not post your own meet.
All you need is a time, a date, and post it away in meets and see if you get some responses. There are people all over the UK in this group so someone will see your meet and hopefully you will get some people turn up. Our first meet we had a good few turn up and it was a good day.

Create yourself a notification alert, by clicking the bell at the top of meet-up section of the forum.
Then you’ll get a notification every time someone creates a new meet-up discussion.
It’s really easy to organise a meet-up, pick a location, choose a time and date, start a topic, then members will comment yes or no.
You’ll also earn yourself an organiser’s badge too.

Also as you are new to the club have a look at the big meet too. If you are up for camping or just a day visit, it is a great way to meet people and a great weekend.

Hey Tyron @tyron2000. I live in Pompey too! Now the weather is (finally) improving I will definitely be out and about with my Air3. It can be a bit difficult to arrange a definite time and date sometimes as I work permanently on the nightshift and, therefore, tend to be very impulsive on when I fly. However, this nice sunny weather we are currently experiencing gives me plenty of incentive to get out there.
Also, as Russ @Foley has suggested, The Big Meet would be an excellent way to find out for yourself just how awesome the forum community on here actually are! I’ve only been a member for just over a year and the two meets I’ve attended were superb. Definitely worth attending if you can
