I have blocked safari pop ups so that may be why not seeing anything 
iOS 26 is the way to go I think too, works well on my iPad and iPhone, especially after reducing transparency for my old eyesight 
The tinted option in 26.1 may mean yoou don’t need reduce transparency. Worth a look at.
pop up blocking is web site pops ups, this is more of a call is being made that iPadOS/IOS are responding to. Looks more a dev choice at the moment. Not sure it needs to be there.

It’s a feature which adds a little orientation arrow to your location dot for you:
The arrow rotates around the location dot as you move your device, to show your orientation.
Not very useful when you’re at home, but invaluable when you’re traipsing across a field towards a flying location or when attending a club meetup posted on Drone Scene 
If you don’t want the orientation arrow you can click Cancel when asked, that’ll leave just the location dot in place on its own, without the orientation arrow:
