Drone Surveys for work

Right, Where i work have decided to start doing Drone surveys and they have asked me if this is something i would like to do. I have been pulling my bollox off for the last 18 years on the tools.

The kind of thing would be roof/guttering and culverts, as we are a drainage firm and we have a few Drone surveys done for us thats costs us a bit.

They have a contract coming up with National grid for checking pylons etc.

I have pointed them to Dronedesk, and they asked me about templates for said surveys, i did have somthing, but for the life of me can’t find it.

Is there anyone of you nice people got any info on what/where i can find templates/risk assesments etc.

Oh they will be buying 2 drones, 1 DJI MIni 4 pro other to be discussed.

I have a risk assessment template your more than welcome to have. PM me with your email address and Ill send it.

If your thinking of DroneLink which is an excellent program for surveying, do bear in mind it is not compatible with the DJI Mini 4 pro as yet and could be some time before it is.

If your surveying for drainage the Dronelink mission planner will work quite well. I use it myself. If your looking to obtain survey data like contours or cross sections, then Reality capture is a good option. Of course it is a pig to use, but again I may be able to help with.
