Hi all,
I became a member specifically for the info in the drone zone, as we’ll be touring the UK for 7 weeks, starting in Scotland followed by the Lake and Peak districts, Wales, Cotswolds, Surrey and Kent bedore going back home in Germany.
Any tips for flying will be greatly appreciated!

Welcome once again!
The good 2 go is a very useful tool. Other than that. Justvlike your home country try to be as respectful as you can and you shouldn’t have any problems.
Hi Hans, welcome.
You’ll find lots of Dutch people in the Lake District and Wales during the summer, must ge the hills that are the attraction!
Be careful if you’re flying in the Lakes and North Wales as they are both Tactical Training Areas (TTA’s), and Low Flying Areas (LFA’s) for various Air Forces (RAF, USAF, USMC, Luftwaffe etc), but these are only in use during the week, weekends they don’t fly.
Enjoy your trip.
Welcome @havvel good to see you here. When it is closer to the time let us know your rough plans for travel and towns/cities you intend to stay. We can then give you all the info you want on where to fly and where to avoid! Depending on your location and time in Scotland, you might might want to consider buying some midge nets, and a product called Smidge. Some people make light of the Scottish Midge, but I can assure you that they can totally ruin your day!!!
I know it is an extra cost that you may wish to avoid, but I’d really recommend you becoming a paid member, if not already. You’ll get access to dronescene which alone is worth the small cost to help you plan your trip. It has access to all the places we fly, layers to tell you of hazards, flight restriction zones and much, much more. I have nothing to gain from recommending it to you, but I promise you will find it invaluable for flying over here.
@havvel . Im new to flying so dont really hVe any tips, but id love to see what you capture while your over here. Have a good holiday!
