Dwejra Bay, Gozo

A great trip out today driving from Malta and catching the ferry over to the amazing island of Gozo. Capturing some images of Dwejra, its Lagoon and surroundings.

@tom_ash23 I’m going to Malta in the summer Tom and Gozo"s on the itinary. Must say it’s a pain in the proverbial to get the authorisation to fly from Tm-CAD. According to their website can only fly 60m high and must apply for authorisation prior to flight. Although, I have EASA Op and flyer IDs they want another €10 Euros for 2 months flying rights.

Did you have any hassle flying?

Hi. I went to Malta / Gozo in November last. I recall struggling for info from TM Malta.
In the end I paid for the 2 month licence and decided to fly by EASA rules.
I found that in all places I filmed, nobody was remotely interested in what I was doing.
I took my mini 3 pro.

@ChrisM Thx for that Chris. Taking my mini 4 Pro and doing the same as you did. Need the TM-CAD registration to gain access to their Flyzones mapping (dont trust Altitude Angel). Can’t access it without paying the 2 month €10 Euro thing. Cant send flight requests to them either as not entirely sure of our itinery until the day before.

As above with @ChrisM response.

I paid my €10 for 2 months and I did submit all my flights, but am still waiting >6mths later for a response and/or an acknowledgement.

In the end, I flew anyway, just did what I do in the UK. Kept an eye and ear open, flew responsibly, not near folks, and generally stuck to EASA rules.

@stubbyd I think I’ll be doing that. @ianinlondon Ian gave me the same advice and he had no probs either. :+1:

I’ve had zero responces from any comms sent to TM Malta… I just fly away from people and no one remotely cares…
