Eilean Donan Castle, Scotland

Eilean Donan Castle drone flight from a very windy and changeable Monday - it has taken 10 hrs for the cottage wifi to upload, but worth every second…

We are away in Drumnadrochit with friends, and enjoying the changeable Highand Weather, exploring amazing places, sharing fun times and good food with great folks - don’t think we have laughed so much for a very long time… Oh, and the drone now has a name, courtesy of a friend, ‘Mighty Midge’ is his preferred monicker 😉

Lots of fun, lots of footage and now lots to process when we get home, although I think perhaps this is the most beautiful thing I have yet created - a veritable love letter to the picture perfect Eilean Donan Castle…

I remember many years ago trying to photograph the castle whilst the heavens were fully open. Loved your flying and thanks for showing the other parts not seen before. Great job.

Thanks, I was lucky with the weather that day, forecast was touch and go for flying, but we visited a lot of places and were able to fly - Eilean Donan was the last stop of the day, after 7 other locations were filmed, lots of footage to process when we get home

Amazing video Suzanne @AlbionDrones
It is a magical place, and a special place for me.
Some friends of ours got married there (more years ago than I care to remember) and my wife and I were “piped” across the bridge. As I was “ring bearer” I was dressed in full regalia as was the groom.
A bus load of Japanese tourists had just turned up and apart from the pipes, all you could hear was the clattering of shutters as they took hundreds of photos between them.
I thought that I looked “the dogs” until the grooms friend turned up in full “Highlander regalia” with a sword almost as big as he was. Like I say a very special place and just as impressive inside.
Thank you for sharing the video and bringing back such special memories.

Thanks, lots of stunning places to fly north of the border, I have a lot of footage to process when I get home, probably 20 to 30 locations to post as separate video’s…

Great video. Though they have flight restrictions you have to find a “safe” location for TOAL.
