yup, basically they don’t want the hobbyist… who is now probably the largest number of below 400ft airspace users / user group…

usual boys club arrangement

… may as well have asked everyone to be owners of a particle accelerator for how large that boys club is going to be…

Probably because all the hobbyists ‘qualificatiions’ are Mickey Mouse

is not Electronic Conspicuity… well Electronic Conspicuity… doesn’t or shouldn’t take a qualification to be conspicuous?

guess it will be interesting to see how they make EVERYTHING conspicuous… not just UAVs but all fixed and flying wing aircraft… or is it just to make UAVs conspicuous… but nothing conspicuous to the uav pilot?

(bit like that clever law where all motor vehicles used to have to have a man walking Infront of them waving a lantern or red flag… till you run over your own man with the lantern or red flag in fog)

Jeeez, what next ? Kites fitted with ADSB :joy::joy::joy::joy:

We’ve had the stone age, iron age industrial revolution, tech age… now we are in the snowflake age :+1:

where everyone is offended and no one can evaluate risk probability and impact or harm… anything with any risk is bad and must be mitigated

best way to avoid risk is offshore it… then it doesn’t exist
