A nice boating lake in Lytham St Annes, which is also home to the Spitfire Memorial.
Oil rigs and wind farms within VLOS reach if you walk out on to the beach first (or have a large, visible drone).
Excellent place for dog walking, or just a day out. Plenty of chip shops and pubs all within walking distance.
The lake is on the edge of the Blackpool FRZ so you'll need to get permission to fly here, but Blackpool ATC are very drone friendly and usually approve requests within minutes if done via Air Portal. I requested a 400ft height limit for this one, which they were happy to approve. You can work around the FRZ if you're flying out to sea.
The originator declared that this location was inside a flight restriction zone at the time of being flown. Permission to fly was obtained from Blackpool ATC. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.
