Falmouth & Penryn, Cornwall

I managed to get out between the showers & wind yesterday for my latest clip. Rather than the usual beaches, cliffs & sunsets, this one is around the towns of Falmouth & Penryn, including the working docks, marinas, the Cornwall National Maritime Museum, Pendennis Castle & various other local views. I hope you enjoy it

It was a public swimming pool that is now closed by the local Council, but locals are trying to reopen it. When originally built, there was a problem with the roof & people outside could see in apparently, & alterations had to be made!! :joy:

It’s a massive bone of contention down here but let’s face it it was a purely fun pool that struggled to get people using it during the week when the kids are at school. My kids loved it.

Cool building though, I hope they turn it into something useful or sell it and build another pool just outside Falmouth that works for everyone.

Did you not manage to get up and I we Pendennis castle?

I remember staying at Pendennis Castle (57 years ago) when part of it was used as a Youth Hostel.

I’ve already done a couple of clips dedicated to the castle on my YouTube Channel, so decided to make this one a bit different, without rugged rocks or sunrises & sunsets!! Although as this one was about Falmouth, I had to put at least one view of the castle in there :joy:

Wow. Last time I went there was a few years back for a wedding!!
