With the new rules now in place in the UK. Is the firmware going to be updated so that the strobes have an option to stay on when recording? AM sure the larger drones have this option?

I recently watched a YT video relating to that very same request and they we explaining DJI’s response to that question.

DJI replied to a request on FB, they said they were not doing it until Jan 1st 2028 as that is when the rules become law here, I am lucky as that option is already available on my Mavic 4 Pro

So did I, but the response from DJI was they were not going to change the firmware until they had to which in Jan 1st 2028, and we wonder why these new rules are confusing

At one time I’d have said it has to be flashing constantly i.e. not interrupted should the recording mode change.
However, for 2 years we’re flying based on rules that may or may not change in 2028. How the CAA expect us to decide what or what not to buy as we head towards 2028, I’ve no idea so I’ve flipped to the fly now, deal with it later brigade.
