First 65mm tank build

Finally, my parts arrived from China and I built my first whoop.
Betafpv Meteor 65 V2 frame/Meteor75 pro canopy/Matrix 1s F/C on Happy model 0702se 28,000 and gemfan tri blades…I present the hopefully unbreakable Frankenmunky.

My first tinywhoop build was a Fractal 65 build, love it.
My second ever drone build, first build was a 3.5".

That looks sweet!
I have a little 1.6" park ripper that I’m gradually modifying as I go, when I feel a more confident pilot I’m planning to build a 3.5" grinderino based quad

Out of interest. What was the cost of parts delivered?

Thinking of a new whoop…

I bought a Betafpv C03 camera from AliExpress which came with the canopy I used, £15 delivered.
Also from AliExpress £20 for the motors and £18 for 5 x Lava 300mah 1s lipos both with free delivery.
Frame was £3 can’t remember where from, the Matrix F/C was direct from BetaFPV.got a discount on release day so was £45 delivered.

Thanks good info.

No worries, I just keep an eye on the flash sales on AliExpress - grab stuff when it’s cheap and put up with the wait.

Grinderino comes in a bit heavy.

I built something similar , some kind of horrid mash up of a air65 & a mobula 6

Looks fun to me bud

How much does it come in at?

Its essentially just a 2024 mob 6 with a c03 camera and a fancier betafpv canopy and gemfan props 1209s

Camera was 17 canopy was like 12 for a set a of 5 so ive got loads of spares, i may have destroyed the vtx on the fc though from the crash that caused me to tankify so looking at maybe a betafpv matrix at like 35

Yeah similar ideas here haha. The Matrix has the advantage of motor plugs - direct soldering gets really annoying if you crash a lot haha

I think I had re soldered all the motor connections on my Air65 before I even needed to replace a motor, also due to the design of the canopy the VTX antenna would break the wires off the camera after a few crashes - lightweight yeah - durable as a sugar teacup though

I also love my Fractal 75 build, battery lasts like 3 mins or worse in colder weather. but it is great.

Nice! Shame about the flight times though - out of interest, what batteries and motors are you using?
