First ever flight! Northseaton Viaduct or Black Bridge to the locals

Hi all!

Please see my first ever flight with a drone, taken on DJI Mini 2.

Does anyone have any advice on taking more cinematic shots? I have it on “Cine” mode but I feel like when I’m turning, it’s quite janky. Am I just pushing to hard on the controller joy sticks?

Hi @there, it looks as though you’re quite new here :wave:t2:

Why not nip over to the Introductions page, and say hello properly and tell us a bit about yourself. :+1:t2:

Nice one - always good to see places from an aerial viewpoint!

I modified the speeds of my DJI Flip in the DJI Fly app for Cine mode because I also found that cine mode is a bit too fast and janky when doing any cinematic shooting. You can alter everything in there from the speed the drone flies, to yaw and pitch and gimbal speed settings. The DJI Fly app is really good because it allows you to define these settings for all three modes (Sports, Cine and Normal) seperately.

Just play around with the settings in cine mode until you find the ones that suit you best.

Thank you!!

My drone, being second hand, didn’t come with a manual, so I’m kinda learning everything on the fly. Pun intended.

This will be a huge help!

You can download a copy of the manual from the DJI website

Hi Paul @MyFitnessPaul one of our members called Ian @ianinlondon does a lot of YouTube videos about settings for different drones and he explains about gain and expo settings really well.

Have a look at this video, its mostly about the mini 3/3 Pro but the principals are the same though, might just have to adjust them to suit the mini 2. Hope that you find it useful

Thank you! Yes someone recommended his videos and have been watching some whilst I work and they are great! Hoping to give it another shot this weekend at some other locations. Just waiting to hear about permission at one, as there is no great line of sight from public.
