First Post, Cheddar Gorge

Hi All, this is my first post on here, hopefully i’m doing it right. I went on an impromptu trip to cheddar gorge and got to take the drone out. I’ve only used the drone a handful of times and completely forgot all the setting and ended up filming in auto :laughing:. I’m trying to learn how to edit (using DaVinci), struggling to colour grade and match the edits between clips (maybe because my white-balance was on auto?).
The footage is from DJI Mini 2 and Sony ZV-1. Any feedback, tips or criticism is welcome.

Nicely done, After 18 months, I still sometimes leave the damn thing on auto

Very nice - I love how well the cuts are times with the music - That’s something I need to do better. I really like the mix with non-drone shots too. I hadn’t thought of trying that.

I was thinking of a trip up to cheddar gorge this weekend actually, but the weather still looks too crap at the moment to take a chance on a 3 hour each way drive unfortunately. Fingers crossed for the following week maybe.

Great first post - but I think you’ve edited video before ??

Very professional edit and nicely put together :clap:t3: :clap:t3: :clap:t3:

Thanks Jhdee,
Yeah i started editing videos this year, mostly just videos from my phone. This was the first time i had any drone footage worth trying. I’ve lost count of how many youtube tutorials i’ve watched :laughing: and this took me quite a while before i was happy enough to post it.

Thanks Marty,
I struggled a bit trying to get the drone and non-drone video to match.

I was in a similar situation, It was a 2hr trip for me and the forecast was bad but as soon as i got there the sun came out! Hopefully you have the same luck with the weather :crossed_fingers:

Well worth the effort - looking forward to more videos from you :+1:t3: :+1:t3: :+1:t3:

Great first video, look forward to seeing more :+1:t2:

That’s brilliant. Thanks for sharing.

Well done good job. :clap::clap:
